David C. Landever

David Landever graduated with honors from the Case Western
Reserve University School of Law in May, 1995 and began with the
law firm of Weisman, Kennedy and Berris that same year. In 2002,
he was made a partner.
David practices complex civil litigation (on behalf of both
Plaintiffs and Defendants) with a particular interest in matters
of medical, scientific and technical nature. Currently, he is
working on cases involving occupational/environmental exposures,
medical malpractice, medical devices, pharmaceutical drugs,
insurance and consumer fraud.
David has managed and participated in multiple trials to
verdict; presented oral argument to both the Ohio Supreme Court
and Eighth District Court of Appeals; presented epidemiologic
evidence in the welding-fume MDL “Daubert” proceedings, and
participated in the drafting of the class action settlement of
the Sulzer Hip Prosthesis and Knee Prosthesis Liability
Litigation.
David has been recognized for his community philanthropy. When
he is not practicing law, David sits on the board of City Year
Cleveland, an Americorps program; sits on the board of MedWish-International,
an organization that facilitates the transfer of re-useable
medical and surgical supplies to developing countries.
Previously, David served for 6 years on the board of Cleveland
Works, Inc., a welfare-to-works organization that, in 2004
merged with Towards Employment.
