Mitchell was born in Cleveland in 1958. He attended Hawken High School and graduated in 1976. Mitch attended Emory University and graduated with a B.B.A. (Accounting Major) in 1980. He graduated Ohio State Law School in 1983.
Mitch has been an attorney with Weisman, Goldberg & Weisman since 1983. He has tried over 75 cases involving automobile collisions, medical and dental malpractice, premises and product liability to verdict. He was certified as a Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy in 1995.
Mitch is a former Trustee with the Cuyahoga County Bar Association and presently serves on the Board of Directors of the Cleveland Academy of Trial Attorneys. He is a member of numerous other professional associations, including the American Trial Lawyers Association. He has lectured to various groups and has been interviewed multiple times on radio and television.
Mitch is currently the Vice President of the Cleveland Baseball Federation, which is the oldest civic sports charity in the United States and founded just after the turn of the 20th century. Cleveland Baseball Federation serves over 6,000 youths in Cleveland. Lastly, Mitch ran the New York City Marathon in 1982 with a time of 2:57:28.
